Product CodeWP01
Sound Clip

A good quality violin from the Jerome Thibouville-Lamyworkshops, a Sarasate model in the style of Amati dating from around 1920. Labelled and stamped Sarasate Elève on the button. The Sarasate model was sub divided into a further three qualities, Maitre, Artiste and Elève. In excellent condition without repairs, just very minor varnish marks, the darker region to the varnish is a style of "antiquing" that the J.T.L. workshops applied to several of their models. The back measurement is:14.1/8 inches, 361 mm. Set up with Dominant strings top quality ebony fittings and supplied in a new case. It is an easy violin to play with a well balanced even tone, typical of the Sarasate violins. Good value!
